You will be part of the NOODOU team which is our Mandarin portal. You will be required to create contents in Mandarin language.
Responsibilities:
- Research, write and edit engaging and share-worthy daily articles and sponsored contents.
- Be updated with the latest and trending news locally and internationally.
- Plan and execute content ideas and strategies to promote client's message effectively and engagingly.
- Source for stories through social media, other news portal or forums. Stories can also be from personal experience, a public opinion, a status update or uniquely written (based on references).
- Develop and suggest trending or creative article titles to be written.
- Source or create relevant images to be included within articles, including featured image.
- Proofread final draft of content to ensure fitness for publishing.
- Revise and update written or published content when necessary.
- Write on titles provided by the hiring manager.
- Assist video team on Chinese related content.
- Actively participate in discussions with management and colleagues on content.
- Participate in news coverage out of office when required.

- Avid social media user, particularly on Facebook. We guess we’re the only company that encourages you to use Facebook during work.
- Keep up-to-date about the latest event and trending news within Malaysia and worldwide.
- Frequently read content sites such as local portals, ViralCham, Moretify, Rojaklah, tantannews and more.
- Must be aware of trends and happenings within the Chinese community.
- Able to write in an engaging manner to capture the audience and keep them entertained. We hate thesis as much as you do!
- Clear delivery in writing that enables readers to understand the story without twisting facts.
Job Requirements
- Preferred age: 21-29 years old. Unless you’re young at heart.
- Have an excellent command in Chinese (Mandarin) and understands English; must be able to write proper sentence structure.
- Must have an eye for story-hooks; to be able to determine articles which are able to capture the audience’s attention.
- Must be diligent and have respect for deadlines.
- Able to work efficiently and deliver quality content with little supervision.
