Job Description

Responsibilities:

Deliver accurate and timely tax accounting, reporting and compliance activities for Malaysia including:

Quarterly calculation, recording and reporting of tax provisions, commentaries and effective tax rate reconciliation
Annual preparation of draft returns and calculation of liabilities
Payment estimate calculations and processing tax payments

Accountabilities doesn't limit to:

Operate Direct Tax process controls and report all control incidences
Update process documents such as key assumption schedule, permanent file, annual file, work instructions, etc. as guided by Head of Filing and Reporting
Conduct variance analysis, reasonableness checks and reconciliations for standalone entities
Configure Tax Data Request Template/Tax packs or Global Provisioning Tools and tax return tools
Update local GAAP template, Tax Provisioning Tool master data or local tax calculation tool
Comply to Shell Group records management & Information risk management procedures and manage the working papers and supporting documentation related to the tax returns
Perform SOAR analysis of tax accounts balances and clean up all tax accounts on regular frequency

Job Requirements

Recognized professional qualification with at least 1 year relevant experience in Malaysia corporate tax compliance and reporting
Bachelors / Masters in Finance degree with at least more than 1 years of relevant experience in Malaysia corporate tax compliance and reporting. Experience in petroleum tax is preferred.
Working Knowledge of SAP and MS Office
Good communication, Stakeholder engagement & Analytical skills
