Job Description

1. To lead the chain department namely planning, inventory control, warehousing and logistics with effective strategies and best practices.
2. Accurate forecasting to ensure efficient and optimal order management for both overseas and local suppliers.
3. Monitoring and reporting of inventory levels and consumption levels ensuring optimal levels of stock holding.
4. To liaise with internal and external customer enquiries.
5. To communicate and co-ordinate with various departments to ensure operation are running smoothly.
6. To identify areas for improvement and establish work procedures and best practices.
7. To conduct month end and yearly stock take exercise.
8. Complete warehouse operation requirement by scheduling and assigning employees.
9. Source and monitor suppliers, forwarding companies performances.
10. Continuously develop cost-down ; short term and long term strategy in procurement of direct and indirect material, outsourcing and facility etc.
11. Comply with laws, regulations and ISO requirements.

Job Requirements

1. Diploma/Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or equivalent.
2. 5 years of experience or above in supply chain field and in manufacturing/engineering industry.
3. Strong knowledge in Logistics and Supply Chain Management.
4. Able to cope with fast pace environment and has good planning skills.
5. Result driven, independent, resourceful with dynamic personality, negotiations and persuasion skills.
6. Able to identify areas of improvement and to develop and implement process improvements from time to time.
7. Excellent written and spoken English, Bahasa Melayu & Mandarin and aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills.
