About The Job

Your new company
The financial risk management consultancy is a specialized service from the consultancy practice of the accountancy firm. It focuses on financial risk management services for financial and non-financial institutions in Malaysia and the ASEAN region. The consultancy core services are Basel related services, corporate treasury, valuation of financial instrument and risk modeling.

Your new role 
  • To manage any (not necessarily topic specific) projects and drive engagement from inception to completion, duties include managing timeline, costs, managing all internal risk process, leading discussions at working group and steering committee levels, to present to Client’s Project Teams, Management Committees and Boards where required.
  • To lead the Credit or Market or Asset-Liability Management (ALM) or Regulatory Compliance risk specialism
  • Specialists have to be able to develop solutions, review reports, has in-depth knowledge of a specific specialization. Specialists have to be able to communicate the technical content to a client’s counterpart and have strong technical knowledge in the respective stream.
  • Lead business development work, including:
     i. Preparing and presenting proposals in response to client’s Request for Proposals
     ii. Engaging with clients (Heads of businesses/risk streams/CROs/CFOs/etc) to maintain client relationship and understand/anticipate client needs
     iii. Develop new ideas to support client’s needs
  • Guide team members in technical as well as career development

Job Requirements

What you'll need to succeed
  • At least more than 10 years of relevant experience
  • The candidate should ideally have experience within the banking industry, with knowledge of and exposure to risk management functions. Experience in corporate treasury functions is also favorable.
  • Has actual hands on experience designing and development of models/solutions/methodology
  • Strong understanding of banking products and credit management
