Job Description
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
● Work with Marketing Manager to refine social media strategy and best practices
● Assist in managing native web and social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube) and editorial calendar to ensure content is timely, relevant, and engaging
● Prepare weekly updates and reports to track growth and success rates of campaigns
● Keep up to date and informed on new social media trends and adapt accordingly
● Ensure proper messaging is being executed online
● Identify leaders and influencers (internal/external) and engage them in brand activities
● Assist with copywriting, proofing, and updating as needed.
Job Requirements
- Proven written communication skills, and a passion for writing both short- and long-copy.
- Excellent verbal communications skills.
- An interest in marketing, communications, social media and documentaries
- Familiarity with key social media tools (e.g. Twitter, Instagram and Facebook) and with Google Suite products (e.g. Docs, Sheets, Slides);
- An entrepreneurial attitude;
- Excellent attention to detail and a high motivation to learn;
- A proactive, service-focussed attitude towards content creation, curation and circulation
- The ability to work collaboratively with a team.
