Want to be part of a robust sales team, with a goal to expand its brand awareness and sales exponentially? Biji-biji Ethical Fashion (bijibijidesign.com) is a homegrown fashion label. Known for its functional and ethical bags collection made from discarded materials, Biji-biji Ethical Fashion has plans to expand its reach out of KL, to the rest of Malaysia and the rest of the world.

We are looking for proactive, independent, innovative interns with strong interest in driving sales, increasing brand awareness, creating business relationships, finding online retailers and good analytical skills. Attending bazaars and artisan markets, visiting current and potential offline retailers will be part of your work. Hence, we are looking for interns who enjoy going for public events, engaging with customers, warm-natured and friendly.

You will work from two locations: (1) Fashion Office in Publika and (2) Production Facility in Klang. You will be required to work weekends.

What you will learn:
As a small team, you will be able to receive intensive training and understand the various tasks quickly. In this internship, you will be able to learn about many different aspects that are involved in a slow fashion industry and its marketing and you will learn about the whole combination of ethical fashion awareness and society engagement. This is the perfect opportunity for somebody who is still exploring the field or who wishes to develop into an all-rounder.

Job Requirements

Background in Marketing, Sales and Marketing, Digital Marketing, or any related field
Must possess excellent knowledge of the English language, able to communicate professionally both spoken and written (crucial).
Willingness to drive around and possession of own transportation
Familiar with Microsoft Words and Excel or Google G-suite
Able to work to deadline and long hours during bazaars
Be enthusiastic, curious and positive

Effectively deal with ad-hoc challenges, keep calm in pressing situations, be flexible with last-minute changes, and still have a positive attitude throughout :)

During your internship period, you are required to be familiar about our Ethical Fashion team vision and mission.
