About The Job

Job purpose
The Assistant Manager - Project oversees the planning, implementation, and tracking of a specific long term and short-term project which has a beginning, an end and specific deliverables.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
The Assistant Manager - Project performs a wide range of duties including some or all of the following:

  • Plan the project

  • Manage project staff and/or volunteers according to the established policies and practices of the organisation

  • Ensure that all project personnel receive an appropriate orientation to the organisation and the project

  • Contract qualified consultants to work on the project as appropriate

  • Implement the project

  • Write reports on the project for management

  • Monitor and approve all budgeted project expenditures

  • Monitor cash flow projections and report actual cash flow and variance to senior management on a regular basis (monthly / bimonthly)

  • Manage all project according to established accounting policies and procedures

  • Ensure that all financial records for the project are up to date

  • Evaluate the project

Your Requirements


  • Qualifications:

  • University Degree in a related subject

  • Professional designation

  • Knowledge of project management or PDP certified

  • Proficiency in the use of computers



The Assistant Manager - Project should demonstrate competence in some or all of the following:

  • 2 to 3 years planning and/or management experience

  • Ability to read AutoCAD drawings and to certain extent able to use the AutoCAD software
