Our Story
About Healthventure
HealthVenture was mutually contrived by Sri Muthu and Donna Lecky. As fellow classmates at the Yale School of Management, MBA Class of 2016,the two agreed that New Haven, and all of its residing universities, would benefit from a central, health-tech focused community. HealthVenture aims to dissolve boundaries, and open doors for deserving innovators who are citizens and university students seeking to pursue their digital healthcare innovation dream, in a co-creation space and a cohort of resources.
We aim to equip the start-up founders in a technical, business and financially supportive way. This is reflective of our HealthVenture approach which results in self-sustaining entrepreneurs.
We work to benefit the innovators that would otherwise have to abandon their dreams of improving the healthcare space with their product. We continuously strive to refine our services and remain dedicated to helping entrepreneurs build, develop, and launch their health products.
Firm History
- February 2016 HealthVenture Corporation was incorporated in New Haven Connecticut
- Summer 2016 HealthVenture’s first incubator program with 4 start-ups.
- August 2016 HealthVenture first pitch competition featuring 9 teams, held at Yale University School of Management.
- February 2017 Winter Digital Health Pitch Competition featuring 10 teams, held at Yale University School of Management.
- July 2017 Hosted the first Y-Start Bootcamp program with 3 start-ups.
- November 2017 First international pitch competition, featuring 10 teams held in Yale Beijing Center, Beijing, China China.
- January 2018 Hosted Charting the Course: The Future of Digital Health Soft launch.
- June 2018 Opened offices in New Haven, CT. Ribbon Cutting Ceremony The HUB June 2018
- July 2018 Hosted annual Y-Start Bootcamp program with 6 start-ups.
